Gadwall
The Gadwall is a common puddle duck with a large, square head and a steep forehead. Males are colored in a pattern of gray and brown with a black patch at the tail. Females are brown with a slender gray and orange bill. Gadwalls typically lay 8–11 eggs. Sometimes two or more females will lay in same nest. Incubation lasts 24–27 days and is done by female only.
